Step by step: BESAFE progresses with two important deliverables 15.04.2014 |
BESAFE investigates the effectiveness of different types of arguments in convincing policy and decision makers to take action for biodiversity protection. Two important steps forward have been made in the last months to move closer to the final project objectives. BESAFE has produced two key deliverables to mark the direction of the future development of a web-based biodiversity argumentation database and the associated toolkit.
The revised version of D 1.1 Report on the classification of arguments and the provisional framework officially released in September 2013 provides a stepping stone for the final framework aimed at classifying the effectiveness of biodiversity arguments and protection strategies. The document presents an extensive literature review translated in a provisional framework for arguments to be further developed by the project. D 1.1 is public and can be found in the project’s Online library.
Earlier on the project organised their first Stakeholders Workshop resulting in another important document to shape the direction of development of the project’s final outputs. D 2.2 WS1 evaluation of methodology, protocols and case studies, with stakeholder recommendations provides an evaluation of this workshop and the recommendations for the development of the final webtool and associated toolkit with usability for stakeholders in mind. The deliverable is available online on the project’s website.
