First BESAFE Stakeholder Workshop 09.04.2013 |
The BESAFE project team is pleased to announce the first BESAFES Stakeholder Workshop, which will take place at the Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO) in Brussels, Belgium on afternoon 23rd – morning 24th May 2013.
BESAFE is an EU 7th framework project investigating the effectiveness of different types of arguments in convincing policy makers to take action for biodiversity protection. The project has two specific focus areas: the interactions of environmental protection policies between governance scales, and the contribution that ecosystem services can make in demonstrating the value of biodiversity.
After running for about 20 months, the project literature is now reviewed and approaches and cases studies are chosen. The first of the three stakeholder workshops will now be organized to inform stakeholders on the project’s progress. The intention of this first workshop is to get a first feedback and to involve stakeholders in a brainstorm about the requirements for the practical use and access of the future project results.
BESAFE is calling out for those stakeholders who use or need arguments to convince policy makers in taking action for biodiversity protection.
Deadline for registration: 1st of May 2013.
