Job alert: PhD students to work on the modeling of loss of biodiversity & ecosystems

The Land Resource Management Unit of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission is looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate to support our global modelling activities and improve means to assess impact assessment on biodiversity and ecosystem services considering different policy scenarios affecting our environment (e.g. climate change, biofuel, agriculture, …).
In the context of the PhD project, the objective is to develop, implement, and test methodologies quantifying loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services in areas where land cover change is occurring.

Deadline for application is 04th of September 2013.
